Nissan Motor India has officially unveiled the name of its next C-segment SUV in India- Nissan Tekton SUV. In addition to the name reveal, the brand has also provided a sequence of design teasers and giving a nearer glimpse into the production-ready version. The SUV has been already presented to dealers, and it will be launched in the market in the second quarter of 2026.
Design and Exterior Details
The Nissan Tekton demonstrates a confrontational and muscular image with a flat bonnet, vertical proportions, and extensive and contemporary frontal fascia. Its LED DRL trademark extends through the length of the SUV to a complement with the Nissan logo in the middle. Its SUV image is marked by the split headlamp design with vertical LED clusters and a rough bumper at the front.

The Tekton at the back has an integrated LED bar of the tail-lights and even at the tail lamps it is squared, similar to the form of the new Nissan models in the world. Its massive alloy wheels and rear spoiler make it look dynamic and high end SUV.
Interior and Features
In the interior teaser, a smooth, overlaid dashboard design that features ambient lighting and a full-width trim insert that is polished to a brushed metal finish are shown. Nissan should have big touchscreen infotainment system, all digital driver display, wireless smartphone connection, ventilated seats, 360 camera, ADAS package, and high quality upholstery.

Platform and Powertrain Expectation.
The platform of Nissan Tekton will also be shared by the next Renault Duster that will be based on CMF-B. In the case of India, the Tekton will come with petrol and hybrid powertrain, and using high variants, there will be strong hybrid technology. Nissan also considers AWD to the top-spec models, which sets the Tekton as a competent and high-end competitor to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
Launch and Outlook
Nissan Tekton is a decisive move in the Nissan India strategy of growth that involves several new launches in the next two years. Tekton, a 7 seater SUV, also planned on the same platform as the Renault Bigster (Boreal). The Tekton will be designed to be a mix of the modern Nissan DNA in India-targeted practicality as it positions Nissan in the Indian SUV market in mid-2026.
