TVS Motor Company has finally introduced its long-awaited Ntorq 150 scooter in India, and it is being promoted as the most sporty scooter offered by the brand ever. At 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom) on the standard one and 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom) on standard TFT-equipped one, this new performance scooter will see a redefinition of the performance scooter segment.
The TVS Ntorq 150 will be available in four sporty colour options – Turbo Blue, Stealth Silver, Racing Red, and Nitro Green – across two variants.
Engine and Performance – Most Powerful TVS Scooter
At its core, the new Ntorq 150 houses a 149.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC 3V engine, which is essentially a re-engineered version of the Ntorq 125’s motor. The engine produces:
- Power: 13 bhp @ 7,000 RPM
- Torque: 14.2 Nm @ 5,500 RPM
- Transmission CVT gearbox with ISG (silent start)
The Ntorq 150 has one of the best power to weight ratios in its segment due to its low 115 kg kerb weight. TVS says that it will race 0-60 km/h in only 6.3 seconds and have a top speed of 104 km/h – figures that will doubtless appeal to performance fans.
Fuel tank capacity stands at 5.8 litres, positioned under the seat to retain practicality, while storage space is a spacious 22 litres.
