The all new Tata Sierra EV is set for a launch in India by the end of 2025. Check out its range, features, battery options, premium interiors and safety tech, and competitors such as Hyundai Creta EV & Maruti e-Vitara.
Tata Motors is all geared up to add another to their stable of electric vehicles with the upcoming Tata Sierra EV, which will directly challenge the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara in the Indian market. The Sierra nameplate is coming back in a completely new format in both EV and ICE (petrol/diesel) variants but if rumors are to be believed, the Sierra EV will be the first to hit the market, towards the end of 2025.

The SUV was presented earlier this year at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in a pre-production state and instantly turned heads with its futuristic design and premium features.
Tata Sierra EV – Design & Interior Highlights
One of the biggest attractions of the Sierra EV will be its massive floating triple-screen setup, including:
- A digital driver’s display
- A central touchscreen infotainment system
- A dedicated passenger-side infotainment screen

Along with this, the Sierra EV will be packed with premium features such as:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Heads-up Display (HUD)
- Built-in Dashcam
- Ventilated front seats
- Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
Safety & ADAS Tech
Borrowing heavily from the Tata Harrier EV, the Sierra EV will get:
- Level 2 ADAS
- 6 airbags
- 360-degree camera
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
- Hill Hold Assist
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
On the charging front, the Sierra EV will support V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging technology – making it future-ready.
Multiple Seating Layouts – 6, 7 & 4-Seater Lounge
Tata Motors is planning to introduce the Sierra EV in 6-seater and 7-seater versions, while the high-end variant could get a luxury 4-seater lounge cabin.

The concept showcased earlier featured:
- L-shaped sofa-style rear seats
- Foldable tray tables
- Smartphone charging docks
- Rear infotainment screens
This unique layout could make the Sierra EV a true premium SUV offering in India.
Tata Sierra EV – Platform & Battery Options
Unlike most Tata EVs which are converted from ICE models, the Sierra EV is being developed as a born-electric SUV. It is based on the Acti.ev platform (same as Tata Punch EV and Curvv EV), while the ICE-powered Sierra will use the ATLAS architecture.
Expected battery & range:
- 65 kWh pack – Range similar to Harrier EV (~538 km)
- 75 kWh pack – Range up to ~627 km (MIDC tested)
Reports also suggest that Tata could offer an AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system with the Sierra EV.
Tata Sierra EV Launch Timeline in India
- Bookings expected: Around Diwali 2025 (October)
- Production: Pune facility, locally manufactured
- First deliveries: Likely by end of 2025

The Tata Sierra EV 2025 will be one of the most awaited electric SUVs in India, offering cutting-edge design, long driving range, premium cabin experience, and advanced ADAS features.
