This all new concept Mahindra Vision S gives us some glimpse about the future of Scorpio brand. Based on new-age NU_IQ platform, it has ICE, EV, and hybrid versions, futuristic interiors, and the next-gen technology. It is expected to be launched in 2027.
Mahindra Vision S – Vision of Scorpio Brand
It is a high time that the Indian SUV market gets shaken up with a few innovative designs and this is what Mahindra & Mahindra is trying to do by launching the concept model of Mahindra Vision S on August 15, 2025 in Mumbai that is Independence Day and for the occasion the company has unveiled its all new, innovative Mahindra Vision S.

Among the four concept models that had been unveiled, it was the Vision S that took the commanding position as the all-new complement to the Scorpio family, together with the Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic.
The SUV not only looks into the future in terms of future design language of the Mahindra brand, but also states their seriousness to capture a majority share of the market in the sub-4m SUV segment in India.
On the basis of NU_IQ Modular Platform
The Mahindra Vision S is based on the all-new NU_IQ monocoque modular platform that provides a high level of versatility. This platform works with:
- Internal Combustion Engine (ICE)
- Electric Vehicle (EV)
- Hybrid Powertrains
It will accommodate FWD (Front-Wheel Drive) and AWD (All-Wheel Drive), and is one of the versatile platforms in the Mahindra line-up.
Mahindra Vision S Initial Design Review
Mahindra has equipped the Vision S with futuristic SUV design features which will make it a head turner:
- L-shaped inverted LED DRLs of aggressive styling
- At the front side there is Twin Peaks logo
- Stepped-down fog lamp mounts in the shape of a pixel
- Tough lights mounted on the roof
- 19-inch alloy wheels
- ADAS tech radar & front parking sensors
- Camera-based side mirrors instead of conventional ORVMs
- Massive cladding in wheel arches & side panels

According to Mahindra’s Chief Design & Creative Officer Pratap Bose, the cabin design is a combination of both digital and physical features, making it way ahead as well as practical.
Performance – Engine Expectations
When it officially goes into production in 2027, the Mahindra Vision S will almost certainly come with a variety of engine options:
- 1.2L Turbocharged Petrol
- 1.5L Diesel-powered engine
- EV / Hybrid future-ready versions
The wheelbase of 2665 mm makes it even longer than the Mahindra XUV 3XO, and provides it with an opportunity to offer additional space in the cabin of the compact SUV.
