In India and some other markets around the world, Mahindra Scorpio N does not require an introduction. There is nothing like it to many traditional SUV enthusiasts.
It has been captured in numbers that as 1,00,000 bookings milestone had been met after only 30 minutes of opening bookings window and far above 2,00,000 units sold in the country.
Moreover, Scorpio (Classic and N combined) is the highest selling nameplate in Mahindra. It is serious when Mahindra is upgrading such a large SUV. First spy shots of this Scorpio N facelift have now been available on the internet. Looking closer we can surmise what these spy shots tell us.
Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Spied Testing on Roads
On the first occasion, Mahindra Scorpio N facelift has been caught working on the streets. The following spy shots of Scorpio N facelift depicts rear quarter view of this new SUV. Based on these spy shots it would be difficult to find any change of design at all, and the entire camouflage further protects the design changes against the gaze of the spy.
Complete silhouette has been brought on board as such and there we have the standing to be stung Scorpion tail even in the window line. Since this test mule is moving, even alloy wheel design can not be spotted. This test mule has same spoiler, tail light housings, under-body spare wheel, conventional door handles, roof rails and shark fin antenna.
Exterior Changes Expected in Scorpio N Facelift
The majority of the modifications are assumed in its fascia that is not observable in these spy shots. Among others, a new grille, sportier bumpers, redesigned headlights along with LED DRL signature and chiseled bumper among others should be expected. Although these changes are to be expected, the dominating presence of Scorpio N on the roads and its appeal as a “Big Daddy” will probably remain.
Interior Upgrades and Feature Additions
Mahindra Scopio N may have some additions of features in its interiors. Mahindra could also provide it with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system and equally bigger fully digital TFT instrument cluster. This time there could be a panoramic sunroof. The change of Sony to Harman Kardon also happened with XUV700 facelift, and Mahindra can do the same.
We hope that Mahindra provides ventilated seat to 2nd row captain chairs in the 6-seater with a refined ambient lighting system. In the case of Mahindra Scorpio N facelift, more variants are likely to receive the ADAS package that is only available on the highest level of the Z8L trim at present.
Mahindra Scorpio N ADAS and Engine Options
The powertrains will remain the same and are likely to be in the same tune. We are referring to 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine with peak power of 200 bhp and 370 Nm and a 2.2L Turbo diesel engine with 172 bhp and 370 Nm. Scorpio N has 185 bhp and 450 Nm that Mahindra should have given on Scorpio N. MT and AT gearbox as well as 4WD will be available as well.
