Toyota is all set to take the wraps off the 9th Gen Toyota Hilux Travo later this year. Currently in its 8th Gen avatar as the Hilux Revo, the pickup truck enjoys huge popularity in global markets, especially in Thailand where it plays a key role in Toyota’s lineup. Now, the next-generation model – Hilux Travo – is expected to make its world premiere in November 2025.
Toyota Hilux Travo Debut in Thailand
According to Thai media reports, the 9th Gen Toyota Hilux Travo will likely debut at the 2025 Thailand Motor Expo, scheduled from November 28 to December 10, 2025. Each Hilux generation in Thailand has carried a unique suffix, and for this new model, Toyota has chosen the name “Travo,” confirmed through trademark filings.

2026 Toyota Hilux Travo – Exterior & Interior Design Leaks
Leaked design patents have given us an early look at the 2026 Toyota Hilux Travo. Key highlights include:
- Sleeker LED headlamps connected by a bold horizontal element, possibly featuring TOYOTA lettering
- Honeycomb-pattern upper grille and horizontal-slat lower grille with ADAS radar integration
- Real metal bash plate for better off-road protection
- New alloy wheel designs (likely 18-inch) with tall-profile tyres
- Redesigned dashboard with a free-standing infotainment display
- Digital TFT instrument cluster (expected)
The overall silhouette remains true to the Hilux DNA but with sharper lines and a more aggressive stance.
Features to Expect
Toyota is reportedly preparing a feature-rich cabin for the Hilux Travo, including:
- Ventilated and powered front seats
- Electrically operated rear window
- Powered tailgate with integrated step
- Advanced ADAS suite for improved safety
Engine & Performance
The 2.8L turbo-diesel engine is likely to be carried over under the hood, with power of up to 200 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The transmission options will probably be both manual and automatic gearboxes, as well as 4X4 transfer case to use in rough off-road conditions.

Will 9 th Gen Hilux Travo be introduced in India?
The Toyota Kirloskar Motor has not officially decided on an India launch yet, though it is known that the Hilux Travo could see the light of the day in 2027 or even later. Interestingly, the new features and updated design language is also likely to affect the next-gen Fortuner SUV and Innova Crysta MPV.
