Discover the Upcoming India-Made Hyundai EV, positioned below the Creta Electric, featuring multiple battery options, attractive pricing, and Hyundai’s ambitious 2030 EV roadmap.
Hyundai is preparing to roll out its first Indian built EV, which will be a significant move in its expansion strategy of electric mobility in India. This new model, which comes under the Creta Electric, should serve the mass-market consumers with a friendly price plus a variety of battery choices.
Hyundai Aggressive Global EV Roadmap.
Hyundai has shown the most ambitious ever product plan in its recent CEO Investor Day. By 2030, the company will have a target of 5.55 million worldwide sales, almost 60 per cent of which will be through electrified vehicles. This plan is dedicated to EVs and hybrids expansion, new body styles, next-generation software, and increased production capacity on the global level.
To achieve these goals, Hyundai will introduce more than 18 hybrid models, including the products of its high-end brand Genesis. The Palisade Hybrid is confirmed as an example, and Genesis is also going to begin to sell hybrids as early as next year. Hyundai is also considering the prospects of its high-end Genesis models to the Indian market.

Also, Hyundai is preparing the foundation of Extended Range EVs that will be introduced in 2027 and can achieve up to 965 km range on a single charge due to a high level of battery-engine integration.
India-Specific EV Strategy
Hyundai has specified a regional EV strategy in the next few years:
- Europe: Ioniq 3
- China: Elexio SUV and a new electric sedan.
- India: Hyundai EV prototype of the first Indian car.
The upcoming EV bound to India will be based on Hyundai sub-4m SUVs such as the Venue and Exter with references to the global Inster Electric design elements. It will be positioned lower than the Creta Electric and will probably be priced at an aggressive price due to high local content. Customers may look forward to it being provided with two battery choices, so it can be used in both city trips and during longer journeys.
Future Hyundai Launches in India.
Other than the India-made EV, Hyundai has a number of launches planned over the next few months:
- New-generation Venue
- Facelifted Ioniq 5
- Updated i20 and Verna
These releases show that Hyundai is determined to remain the second-largest automaker in India and aggressively develop its EV range.

The India EV is one of the key elements of its global strategy to achieve 3.3 million annual sales of electrified vehicles by 2030. With its affordable locally manufactured electric vehicles, Hyundai is targeting the rising demand of EVs in the mass-market segment of the Indian market as it prepares to enter a future where electrified mobility is the new reality.
