Renault Kiger Facelift 2025 could debut with a powerful 125 PS engine from the Kardian SUV. Check out design updates, new features, and launch details here.
The upcoming Renault Kiger Facelift is generating a lot of buzz in the highly competitive sub-4m SUV segment. With Renault recently teasing “Rethink Performance,” speculation is rife that the new Kiger could borrow the 125 PS turbo-petrol engine from the Kardian SUV, giving it a major edge over rivals like Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Brezza.

Renault Kiger Facelift – A Much-Needed Upgrade
Renault’s India lineup has thinned out over the years, with the Duster discontinued and a comeback planned only in 2026. This has left the Kiger as Renault’s flagship SUV. However, sales haven’t been too kind—averaging below 1,000 units per month in 2025. Clearly, the facelift needs to pack more punch to regain lost ground.

Will the Kiger Get the 125 PS Engine?
The Kiger is now offered with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol that produces 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The teaser is however more indicative of performance-oriented mix at Renault.
Having the same engine family. the Renault Kardian delivers 125 PS and a 220 Nm torque. Renault should equip the Kiger facelift with this configuration (or at least one that outputs 120 PS/200 Nm), as it could vastly improve the driving dynamics, with 0-100 km/h taking less the 10-second mark and this would become a competitive aspect of the SUV in this segment.

Expected Features in Renault Kiger Facelift
Apart from the performance boost, Renault is also likely to load the facelifted Kiger with premium features to attract buyers. Expected additions include:
- LED fog lamps
- Ventilated leatherette seats
- Auto-dimming IRVM
- 360-degree camera
- Rain-sensing wipers
- Updated infotainment system
Upgraded Design and Styling
Kardian-inspired design cues that will include a redesigned front and LED tail lamps, and new alloy wheels. This makes the SUV more and fresher.
Launch Timeline
The official introduction of 2025 Renault Kiger Facelift will be made on 24th August 2025. Pricing will also play the important part as in the case of the Kiger, Renault always marketed the vehicle as a value-for-money vehicle.
Bigger horsepower and luxury design would possibly enable it to measure up to its competitors that offer greater features.
