The Nissan Kait SUV will be the new entry level compact SUV that will replace Kicks Play that Nissan has launched in Brazil that will compete with Volkswagen Tera, Hyundai Creta, Fiat Pulse, Chevrolet Tracker and Renault Kardian. The Nissan plant at Resende, Brazil has already started production. Nissan Kait will be shipped to over 20 countries with most of the markets being located in South America.

The Nissan Kait SUV Debuts- Key features Although receiving a more sporty design, Nissan Kait has the same V-platform as Nissan Kicks Play. The original Kicks (1 st-gen ) was re-introduced in selected markets as the Kicks Play when Nissan introduced the all-new, 2 nd-gen Kicks last year. In the case of the South American market, the new Kait will be marketed as a new entry-level SUV in the brand.
The styling and road presence of Nissan Kait are enhanced, and it may become an advantage. The new Nissan Kait is of a similar size as the Kicks Play, though it is not much bigger in dimension. Kait has a length of 4,304 mm, width of 1,760 mm, height of 1,611 mm and wheelbase of 2,620 mm. The Nissan Kait will have six colour options. The SUV has a storage capacity of 432 litres. Kait will be positioned lower in the line of the company than the 2nd-gen Kicks and X-Trail.

Although it is being positioned as a low level SUV in South America, Nissan Kait is very well featured. It will have four trim levels including Active, Sense Plus, Advance Plus and Exclusive. It has major features such as 7-inch digital instrument panel, Pioneer 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger.
Others are high-quality upholstery, automatic and digital air conditioning, 360-degree view camera and adaptive cruise control speed and distance (ICC). The offer will include a wide selection of ADAS.
Nissan Kait SUV Engine, Performance & Pricing
The Nissan Kait powertrain is the same one as Kicks Play. The SUV will have a flex fuel 1.6 litre, 16-valve, and naturally aspirated engine. It has a power output of 113 hp with ethanol, and 110 hp with petrol. Its torque is 149 Nm and 146 Nm. The engine is coupled with the CVT transmission. Nissan Kait SUV Debuts Nissan.
Pricing of Kait in Brazil (Rs 20 lakh) is at R$117,990. The SUV will be marketed in dealerships in Brazil within the next few weeks. In 2026, the export will be started to various markets in South America.
