New Kia Seltos India launch is nearing as emission test spy images surface ahead of December 10 debut. Know design changes, features, performance and rivals.

Although all-new New Kia Seltos India Launch will be introduced globally on December 10, the Indian launch is likely to take place in early 2026. Kia is preparing the second-generation Seltos that will have extensive changes both on the exterior and interior. There has been a common sight of test mules both in India and in other parts of the world. The most recent spy shots are of Korea that depict a mule undergoing emission tests prior to the India launch the day before 10 Dec.
New Kia Seltos Emission Testing Spotted Before India Launch
The new spy shots revealed by South Korea depict a new Kia Seltos test mule in a test of emission. A huge pipe which leads to the exhaust and other emission testing devices can be observed attached to the boot. As in the case of India, South Korea also has stringent emission rules such as real-time testing on driving emissions. These emission trials strongly hint that the New Kia Seltos India Launch is progressing as per schedule.
New Kia Seltos Design and Interior Changes Expected
According to the industry tendencies and shifting consumer demands, Kia Seltos should be larger than the existing one. New Seltos will be probably longer and broader than the existing Seltos. The present Seltos measures 4,365 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,645 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. In the new Seltos, the user will get more legroom and shoulder room, as well as a roomier interior.
The new Seltos seems to be with a boxier and more upright profile in terms of its design. It will come with a new look and feel with modification in the lighting and use of bumpers both at the front and the back. The all-new Seltos also has a chance of having a new set of alloy wheels. The introduction of some new colour options is also possible. Other qualities like roof rails and ORVMs seem to be similar to the existing one.
New Kia Seltos Features and Technology Upgrades
The upgrades that can be made to the equipment would be a 30-inch Trinity display, which is similar to the one in the new Kia Syros. It also has two 12.3-inch displays, as compared to the two 10.25-inch displays with the existing Seltos, then a five-inch touchscreen climate control. Other options of New Seltos include a new connectivity package that has several new options. The Level 2 ADAS package could also have new additions to increase its safety, making the New Kia Seltos India Launch more competitive.
New Kia Seltos Performance, Powertrain and Rivals
In global markets, new Seltos will provide new hybrid powertrain introduction. The existing powertrain solutions will also be used in India. The only anticipated change is a new 7-speed automatic with the diesel engine. This is a new transmission that will substitute the existing 6AT. This is however yet to be officialized.
The competitors of New Kia Seltos India Launch will include the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra and future new-gen Renault Duster.
