The Mahindra XUV700 Facelift 2026 has been caught testing in close proximity and it has drastically changed in terms of design, the interior with triple screen dashboard, Harman /Kardon audio system, ADAS, and smooth styling. The following is all we know.
Mahindra XUV700 -A Game-Changer Editing to be updated.
One of the strongest influences in the premium D-segment space in India has been the Mahindra XUV700 that has, since its launch, redefined the space. Having features that were advanced and the strong presence in the road, the powerful engines made it a new benchmark and compelled its competitors such as Tata and MG and Hyundai to step up their competition.

Mahindra is now doing a facelift of their XUV700 which has not been done before, and it will launch the model in 2026. Early look of the changes has been given by recent spy shots of very camouflaged test mules that have been leaked online
Exterior Design Updates
The recent XUV700 facelift 2026 has been caught many times, and the most recent close-up spy shots reveal a couple of significant design improvements:
Revised LED Headlamps- probably projector based rather than reflectors.
Refined LED DRLs – Revised C-shaped DRL signature, sharper than one present.
Front Parking Sensors and a familiar sculpted bonnet.
New Alloy Wheel Designs and maintained flush pop-up door handles and body cladding.
Rear section still camouflaged, but previous spy photos are showing carryover tail-lights with bumper design modifications.

Shark-fin antenna, roof spoiler and inbuilt rear wiper/washer visible.
All in all, the facelift is more evolutionary than revolutionary because it preserves the imposing stature of the XUV700.
Major renovated interiors- triple screen design.
The largest change will be in the cabin. Based on the design inspirations of the future XEV 9e and XEV 7e EV, the facelifted XUV700 will have:
Triple-Screen Dashboard Layout- A segment-first in ICE SUVs.
Switch from Sony to Harman/Kardon speaker system – possibly a 16-speaker, 1400W setup.
New steering wheel design in common with the XEV 9e.
Auto-dimming IRVM may have finally arrived in the SUV
The expected ADAS Level 2+ features, including self-parking aid.
Such additions will make the cabin much more high-end and technology-oriented.

Engine and Transmission Options
Mechanically, Mahindra will not change a lot. The XUV700 facelift of 2026 is expected to remain with the same engine choices:
- 2.0L Turbo Petrol
- 2.2L Turbo Diesel
Both engines are likely to be available in a 6-speed manual, and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The option of AWD system and possibility to have 2-row or 3-row seating should also remain.
Competition
After its launch, the new XUV700 facelift will still be competing with the other popular SUVs in the premium D-segment such as:
- Tata Harrier & Safari
- MG Hector & Hector Plus
- Hyundai Alcazar
- Jeep Compass (higher trims)
The Mahindra XUV700 Facelift (2026) appears to be an adaption of an already proven recipe.

Its new styling, triple-screen dashboard, high-quality audio upgrade, and a better set of ADAS features will not only solidify Mahindra’s position in the SUV market, but also challenge competitors to rise again.
