As part of the introduction of new XSR 155, Yamaha Motor India has also presented its first EVs in the country Aerox E and EC-06, which will be the first brand to enter the Indian EV market. Although the two scooters are aimed at different target markets, the Aerox E is the performance-oriented E-Maxi scooter extinguishing the success of the Aerox 155 to the electric scene. This launch is a significant milestone in the 10-year period vision of Yamaha of sustainable mobility and future-ready performance cars.
High-Performance E-Maxi Scooter
Yamaha Aerox E is the first Indian brand of Maxi Sports Electric Scooter by Yamaha and incorporates the DNA of sports-racing with the high-tech electric technology. The Aerox E is powered by a 9.4 kW (peak power) electric motor generating an impressive 48 Nm of torque, making the throttle jab any button and accelerate rapidly off-the-line.

Battery, Range, and Riding Modes
It has two removable 3kWh battery packs (6kWh in total) containing high energy density cells. They can be loaded at home through the use of ergonomic grips which can be removed easily and carried. Yamaha has also fitted the scooter with three riding modes Eco, Standard and Power, and Boost, that gives the scooter a quick acceleration and Reverse mode, which is used when there is need to move within a tight space. The aerox E has a certified range of 106km striking the balance between real-world performance and pragmatism.
Signature Aerox Design Philosophy
Aesthetically, the Aerox E is the continuation of the high and sportive profile of the Aerox 155. It is known as the Heart-Shaking Speedster by Yamaha that has proud body size, athletic proportions and the unique X centre motif on the front fascia.
