What’s New in 2025?
Hero has developed the Splendor Plus OBD2B-compliant and it would mean that the bike has not only passed the recent emission norms but also has not been compromised on the mileage or performance. The update has introduced a slight price increment of approximately 2,000 and in the process, riders have a cleaner and future ready engine.

Engine & Performance
At the heart of the Splendor Plus is the familiar 97.2cc air-cooled engine – a tried and tested motor that has been winning Indian hearts for years.
- Power Output: 7.91 bhp @ 8,000 rpm
- Torque: 8.05 Nm @ 6,000 rpm
- Transmission: 4-speed manual gearbox
- Mileage: Around 61 kmpl in real-world use
For city commutes, the engine feels smooth, refined, and efficient. The addition of Hero’s XSens technology ensures consistent performance, while the i3S idle stop-start system helps save extra fuel in traffic.
Ride, Handling & Comfort
Splendor Plus weighs just 112 kg this makes it very easy to manoeuvre be it in a narrow passageway, during traffic as well as when trying to get parking space in a congested area. It has a seat height of 785 mm, which is appropriate to most heights and allows the rider to travel over a larger distance without feeling tired because of the sitting upright position.
Telescopic forks are used on the front of the bike and dual shock absorbers on the rear, which provide the bike with the trade off between comfort and stability. The braking is done by the drum brakes at both ends, and Hero has a combined braking system (CBS) as an added safety measure.
Colours & Style
Hero understands that even commuter bikes deserve a dash of style. The Splendor Plus is offered in multiple attractive colours such as:
- Blue Black
- Black Red Purple
- Sports Red Black
- Black & Accent Edition
- Matt Axis Grey Metallic
Why Indians Still Love the Splendor Plus
Mileage King: Few bikes can consistently deliver 60+ kmpl like the Splendor Plus.
Low Maintenance: Affordable spare parts and Hero’s massive service network mean you never worry about upkeep.
Everyday Friendly: Lightweight, easy to ride, and extremely practical.
Proven Reliability: A machine that’s built to last – and many owners happily keep theirs for a decade or more.

Rivals in the Market
The Splendor Plus will be competing against the Honda Shine 100 and the TVS Radeon in 2025. Both of them are powerful rivals, but Splendor has brand recognition, post sale service and legendary mileage that continue to keep it on top of the sales list.
