Harley-Davidson X440 T launched at Rs 2.79 lakh with ride-by-wire, new suspension and design updates. Prices of X440 Vivid and S trims reduced by Rs 25,000.
Harley-Davidson X440 Price Cut and Variant Update
Harley-Davidson X440 is currently offered in two models only i.e. Vivid and S and the prices of each model have reduced by 25,000 rupees.
About a few days ago, Harley-Davidson India declared the introduction of the new X440 T in the local market at an initial cost of Rs. 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). To simplify the entry-level line of the brand, the cost of the regular X440 has been lowered up to Rs. 25,000. It is currently being offered at S and Vivid trim only since the base Denim trim has been cancelled.
The Vivid variant of the Harley-Davidson X440 has the price of Rs. 2,34,500 and S trim has the price of Rs. 2,54,900 (ex-showroom).
Harley-Davidson X440 T Design and Feature Updates
The motorcycle has been verified to receive the new front suspension fine-tuning that can be found in the new X440 T that has undergone a total of 72 modifications. The most apparent additions in the new roadster include an updated rear end and a new rear sub-frame.
Four colour schemes namely Vivid Black, Pearl Red, Pearl Blue and Pearl White have been made available in the X440 T. In addition to the graphical modification, the motorcycle has also had new electronic throttle body that can allow existence of ride-by-wire throttle system and two ride modes (Rain and Road) as another significant addition is switchable rear ABS system.
Harley-Davidson X440 T Engine and Performance
It shares the 440cc air and oil cooled SOHC 2V engine that has a maximum power output of 27 bhp at 600 rpm and a peak torque of 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The transmission is six-speed and with a slipper and assist clutch is a standard. The exhaust system has received updates too of increased efficiency and better cooling as well as a heat shield.
Harley-Davidson X440 T Hardware, Dimensions and Braking
The HD X440 T, made on a trellis frame and suspended on 43 mm KYB sourced upside down front forks with 130 mm travel and gas charged twin shock absorbers with 7 step preload adjustability do the job in the rear. Concerning braking, there are 320mm front discs and 240mm rear discs that are assisted by a dual channel ABS system.
HD has also incorporated bar-end mirrors to give the X440 T the additional attraction. It has clearance of ground of 170 mm, wheel base of 1,418 mm and seat height of 805 mm. It is mounted on 18 inch 100/90 section front and 17 inch 140/70 section tires that are MRF Zapper Hyke tubeless tires. The fuel holding capacity is 13.5 litres and the motorbike weighs 192 kg on the weighing scale.
