Ather EL Platform – Foundation for Next-Gen Scooters
Ather Energy has taken a big leap in India’s EV market with the launch of its next-generation EL platform at the third edition of Ather Community Day 2025. This is Ather’s first all-new vehicle architecture since the launch of the 450 series and has been designed for scalability, versatility, and cost efficiency.

The platform has been developed using insights from over 26 lakh km of real-world riding data. With a brand-new chassis, powertrain, and electronics package, the EL platform simplifies production and after-sales experience. According to Ather, manufacturing will now be 15% faster, while periodic services can be completed 2x quicker. Service intervals have also been extended to 10,000 km, making ownership much more convenient.

Safety and Tech Upgrades
- Advanced Electronic Braking System (AEBS): Improves stopping distance and prevents rear-wheel lockups.
- Charge Drive Controller: Combines motor controller and on-board charger for more efficiency.
Ather Redux Concept – Scooter Meets Motorcycle
The event also witnessed the debut of Redux, a futuristic moto-scooter concept that reflects Ather’s vision for high-performance EVs.
Key highlights of Redux include:
- Lightweight aluminium chassis and AmplyTex material
- 3D-printed lattice seat
- Adaptive ride dynamics with Morph-UI interface
- “Take Off” mode for instant acceleration
Ather stack 7.0 – AI-Powered Smart Features
The company also rolled out Ather stack 7.0, its most advanced software suite yet. Powered by a large language model tuned for Indian dialects, it allows natural voice conversations with your scooter.

- Live location sharing & tyre pressure updates
- Crash alerts & pothole alerts (based on nationwide fleet data)
- ParkSafe & Lock Safe theft/parking protection
- Remote charging & shutdown controls

This OTA update will soon be available for Ather Rizta Z and 450X (Gen 3 onwards) users.
Infinite Cruise – India-Focused Cruise Control
Ather also introduced Infinite Cruise, its unique take on cruise control adapted for Indian roads.
- City cruise: Seamlessly maintains speeds up to 90 km/h in traffic or highways.
- Hill Control: Uses regen braking for uphill/downhill stability.
- Crawl Control: Perfect for slow manoeuvres on rough roads.
The feature will debut with the 2025 Ather 450 Apex.
Updates to Rizta Z and HALO Helmet
- Rizta Z scooters get OTA updates for a touchscreen dashboard, refreshed UI, new Eco Mode, and a Terracotta Red super-matte finish.
- HALO smart helmet now comes with new colours, anti-fog visor compatibility, USB-C charging, and improved safety with emergency pull-out padding.
Next-Gen 6 kW Fast Charger
Ather also revealed its compact 6 kW fast charger – 50% smaller yet 2x faster. On select scooters, it can add 30 km range in just 10 minutes. Some stations will even include integrated tyre inflators for added convenience.

With the LECCS charging standard now being adopted by 10 partners including Hero Vida, Matter, Bolt, and Kazam, India’s EV charging ecosystem is heading toward greater interoperability.
